Wallop brook at Nether Wallop. Summer 2006

Fishing with light tackle and very small dry flies, we moved very slowly and watched all the time for any sign of a fish. Just the slightest disturbance of the surface could be the only indication of a fish hidden in the margins. When we couldn't see fish, we cast likely holding places. This also paid off.

Where did that hat come from?

A beautiful view - the brook is quite wide here but very shallow.

Now where is the brook - ah over there!

Chest waders - the water can be very deep.
